The basics of working with us, in the order they usually come up. These are the general terms — your signed agreement for a specific job is the document that governs that job, and where the two differ, your agreement wins.
Quotes and estimates
Prices on this site and in a written quote are estimates based on the scope we discussed. If the scope changes — more locations, more deliverables, a longer day, a property that turns out to be twice the acreage — we'll tell you what that does to the number before we do the work, not after. Quotes are good for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise. Travel beyond roughly 35 miles from Foley is billed and will be shown on your quote.
Booking and payment
- A 50% deposit reserves your date. The date isn't held until it's paid.
- The remaining 50% is due on delivery of the final content.
- Payments run through Stripe; an invoice comes to you automatically.
- Final files are released once the balance is paid in full.
Rescheduling, cancellation, and weather
The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel. Reschedules are fine — ask at least 48 hours before the shoot date and we'll move you based on availability. A same-day reschedule is treated as a cancellation, and rebooking takes a new deposit.
Weather is different. Drone work is flown legally under FAA rules, and some days it just can't be flown safely. If weather, a safety issue, an FAA restriction, or anything else outside either of our control pushes a shoot, we reschedule in good faith and your deposit carries over — it isn't forfeited. The same goes the other way: if we have to cancel and can't fulfill the booking, your deposit is refunded in full.
Revisions
One round of revisions is included with every project. Send your notes within 3 days of delivery, in one batch, and be specific. After 3 days the project is considered approved and the balance is due. Additional rounds beyond the first are $75 each.
Creative approach
You're hiring a point of view, not a camera operator. We'll listen hard to what you need and then make the shot-by-shot and edit calls ourselves — that's the part that makes the work good. If something in a cut isn't working for you, that's what the revision round is for.
Usage rights for the footage
What you can do with the finished work, and what we can do with it, is spelled out in your signed agreement for that job — it varies by project, so read that section. In general: you get the rights you paid for to use the delivered content for your business, and we retain ownership of the raw footage and the right to show finished work in our portfolio and on our social accounts. If a job is sensitive and you'd rather we didn't show it publicly, say so before the shoot and we'll write that into the agreement.
It's on you to have permission for what we're filming — property access, any people who appear on camera, and anything a landlord, HOA, or general contractor needs to sign off on.
Thermal recovery work
Recovery flights are a search, not a result. Thermal is a real tool and it fails for real reasons — heavy canopy, warm ground, and animals that simply aren't where anyone thought. Nobody can guarantee a recovery, and we don't. You're paying for the flight time and the search, and that's what's billed. Published recovery rates are on the recovery pages. You never pay before we're on-site.
The ebook
Purchases from the book page are a license for your personal use. Download links come up right after checkout. Because it's a digital file delivered immediately, sales are final — but if something is wrong with your download, email us and we'll fix it.
Liability
We carry insurance and we fly legally, and a certificate of insurance is yours for the asking. That said, our liability on any job is limited to what you paid us for that job. We're not responsible for indirect losses — missed opportunities, lost business, that kind of thing.

Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. If we update them we'll post the change here and move the effective date. A change doesn't rewrite an agreement you've already signed.
